Personality/Background: Boris was born in Russia to rather wealthy parents who, when he was seven, paid a hefty sum of money to give him the morph of an amphicyon. Unfortunately, it was discovered that this was done illegally by his father, who bought two stolen serum vials (one for each son) off the black market. He claimed it was 'in the name of science', but the Russian police thought otherwise and he ended up in jail. This left Boris' mother to try and raise her two sons alone. To make things worse, both Boris and his younger brother, Nikolai, were targeted by Russian scientists because of their morphs. In a bid to save her sons from torture, and upon insistence from their incarcerated father, Boris' mother moved her family to Australia a year later. Boris was eight at the time.
Upon arriving in Australia, Boris found it hard to fit in. This was due to his rather thick Russian accent that did not seem to disappear with exposure to the English language. Because of this, it was often hard for others to understand what he was trying to say despite him trying his hardest to get his words across. His mother didn't help when she insisted that her sons talk in Russian whenever they were at home. As such, Boris had very few friends as he went through school and often tried to stick with his little brother a lot... something Nikolai didn't particularly approve of. But as he grew older, and despite his heavy accent, Boris' English did improve enough to be understood the majority of the time.
Boris is one of the older members of the Rebels Ancient gang, joining alongside his brother a year after its formation in 2009. Surprisingly, it was Boris who had stumbled upon one of their hidden training days during a weekend morning run. His sudden appearance had caused everyone in the vicinity to freeze, no one having expected the company. Boris was just shocked to find out that he and his brother weren't the only ones with prehistoric morphs. After the initial shock had worn off, though, Boris found himself being growled at by smilodon Krillin Fang, the second in command to Reece Valore, leader of the Rebels Ancient. Seeing no other way to not get killed, Boris transformed into his amphicyon form. From there, the two parties had a somewhat understandable talk which ended in a date being discussed for a meeting between the Sokolov brothers and the Rebels and Rebels Ancient leaders. It was that meeting which ended in Boris and Nikolai being accepted into the Rebels Ancients.
As for love, Boris didn't think he'd be lucky enough to find a partner unless he went back to his home country due to his heavy accent. His fear of having a low income job as a taxi driver didn't help his cause. But things seemed to change when he got a call one day to pick up a nurse from Argetgarm Hospital to take her home. At first, he thought nothing of the trip... but then he had to pick up the same young woman two days later, and the next day, and the next. Concerned, Boris went to his superiors about the nurse where he learned that she was specifically requesting his services. Even more concerned after the meeting, he went to his Rebels friends where everyone (including his brother) figured it was one of two things; either the nurse liked him or she was a stalker or serial killer. In the end it was up to Boris to ask the nurse why he was specifically being requested.
It turned out that the nurse's name was Stephani Khamalova and that she thought he looked cute. She even asked if the two could spend some time talking outside of work. Still being cautious, however, Boris allowed numbers to be exchanged and later agreed to meet at a café not far from the hospital. But he was cautious enough to ask for some help in judging if she really was good in character from his Rebels friends... which resulted in a little red and black ladybird landing on his hand and seemingly giving him a nod. Apparently Reece had been spying for him and had come to the conclusion that Stephani was good for him. Of course, Stephani had to find out what was going on, but she found Boris' concerns as a cute quirk of his (though she also admired him for them) and the two ended up getting married nearly a year later. Their son, Olaf, was born nine months later with their daughter, Anastasia, following after almost two years. And Boris made sure that the two were both old enough and willing to choose a morph before even thinking about asking them to follow in his pawprints.
