Personality/Background: Zarah was born the eldest child to Spanish Australians, Eduardo and Laura, followed by sisters Sofia and Grace and brother Diego. She takes her role as big sister seriously, keeping her siblings occupied whenever her parents aren't able to. And she knows that her siblings love her beyond belief for all the time she spends with them. But her biggest secret, and one that she shares with all the members of her family, is that she is one of the last descendants of the dinofelis. Even more, when she first discovered the family secret for herself, and thus transformed into a dinofelis for the first time, she freaked out something bad. In her shock at the transformation she had run off in a panic, causing a severe car accident late at night. Surprisingly, though, everyone involved in the accident survived. However, there were casualties. Both a nine year old Zarah and one of the passengers in the car that hit her had to go for emergency surgery. Thanks to the accident, Zarah lost most of the vision in her left eye (which now sports a massive scar across it) had to have a shoulder reconstruction due to how badly shattered the bones in her left shoulder were and lost some mobility in her hand. She was extremely lucky, though, as the impact should have snapped her neck.
After months of rehabilitation and having to relearn how to use her now limited left hand, Zarah then had to come to terms with the fact that she would never be able to see or use her left arm like she had been able to do before the accident. She also had to come to terms with the fact that she could morph. Thankfully her family and friends were right by her side to help her and her confidence returned to her in time. But there was no denying that she was a changed person afterwards, especially with the recurring dreams she had of the event. Even seven years later, after finding and joining the Rebels Ancients, her night terrors persisted. And they made sure to make themselves known when she was on a friendly group camp that the Rebels were holding for all of their Rebels groups/friends. Before Zarah realised what was going on, she found herself surrounded by a number of very concerned animal friends.
It was during that same Rebels Friendship Camp (as it was being called by all the Rebels) that Zarah gained a bit of a crush on fellow morpher Callum Rebani of the Renegade Rebels. True he was a couple of years older than her, but her friends Amber and Diana were often trying to coax her to at least talk to him. The advice didn't get very far, though. Zarah just couldn't get herself to take that leap. It also didn't help that Callum didn't seem interested in pursuing any form of relationship with any of the other Rebels morphers beyond friendship. But her friends were nothing if not persistent. Even after the camp had finished, they were often trying to get Zarah to at least talk to Callum... when they weren't dealing with their own issues, that is. They even tried to set the two up on what they tried to call a 'friendship date'. It wasn't very successful, but Zarah gave Amber and Diana full marks for trying.
Zarah did end up finding love, though it was not where her friends thought it would be found. Zarah was with her mother at a disability gathering in Sydney, looking for aids to help her in her adult life, when she came across a young man by the name of Ian Duguid. Ian was of Scottish decent and had moved to Australia only four years prior to their meeting. His younger sister was also affected by disability and his family was at the gathering to find help for her. The two got to talking and before Zarah knew it, they were exchanging numbers. Within a matter of weeks, the two were fast friends and often saw each other over the weekend as Ian lived in Newcastle. Three years after the meeting, Ian proposed to Zarah, who gladly accepted his hand in marriage. It was another year and a half before the two were able to officially get married, and it just happened that the wedding had to be moved indoors thanks to the weather on the day, but Zarah was noted saying that it would not have been her wedding day if something didn't go right for her. Her life just seemed to be full of twists and turns.
Of course, when her two children were born, Zarah was adamant that she had been blessed somehow. Her two children, a son named Mark and a daughter named Scarlett, were the lights of her life... aside from Ian, that is. She adored her children and, when the two started showing signs that they had also gained their mother's ability to morph into dinofelis, she was more than happy to help them through their own confusing moments... and, she was glad to say, neither her son nor her daughter freaked out as badly as she had after her first morph. It probably helped that she was still a member of the Rebels when she had married and had her children (something that Ian was totally fine with) and so her children had grown up around morphers who were quite comfortable with who they were.
